I’ve spent more than twenty years in technology as a career. I’ve experienced and driven changes in Corporate Information Technology, Application Service Providing, Software-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and much more. I’ve never stopped learning, never stopped growing. It’s important in any industry, and for 20 years, it’s definitely been a key part of my industry and my strategy.

Now I’m learning a different path again. I originally took the slightly less traditional path into my career by beginning with Military service. I learned on the job, in the field, under the pressure of the U.S. Marine Corps, and the 1st Gulf War. That is where I built my first TCP/IP Network. Now today I’m retrofitting my learning by finishing my Bachelors of Arts in Business at Concordia University Texas.

I believe, fully, that learning should never stop…

(Oct 2016 – Nov 2017)
Leading the corporate IT team and the DevOps pipeline and implementation team. Payments-as-a-Service startup.

Sr. Director of Engineering Operations @ NetSuite
(Oct 2012 – Aug 2016)
Reformed Global Corporate Information Technology, then transitioned to reform, rebuild, and integrate NetSuite’s Acquisition Operations teams. Led globally diverse staff through several org transitions. Grew the staff from 20 -> 113.

Director of Engineering Services @ YouSendIt
(Oct 2009 – Oct 2012)
Rebuilt and led a team struggling to deliver uptime and excellence in the YouSendIt service. At one point we had 100% service availability for a quarter! Budget was trimmed, staff was re-oriented, culture was changed.
